ELIGIBILITY
To be eligible, the applicant must:
- Be a U.S. Citizen or legal permanent resident with a valid permanent resident card or passport stamped I-551
- Currently enrolled as a high school senior who intends to enroll in an accredited post-secondary college or university located within the United States within a year of graduating high school, or currently enrolled in an accredited post-secondary college or university located within the United States
- Self-identify as African-American or Black.
- Have a current GPA of 2.8 or higher.
APPLICATION AND SELECTION PROCESS
Submission requirements. In addition to the eligibility requirements, the applicant must submit a completed application. Applications that are incomplete will not be considered. A completed application will include:
- Detail involvement with community or volunteer organizations, or through self-initiated volunteer activities.
- A 2-minute video about you, your financial need and your education and career goals.
- Copy of current high school or college transcript.
- Proof of citizenship.
The application window for submission is from February 5 - April 30 of each year. For an application to be considered, the complete application must be received by April 30 each year.

The annual Bora Bunch Scholarship Applications acceptance dates are February 5th - April 30th.

Scholarship candidates must submit the following in addition to the application package to be eligible:
- Acceptance letter from a College/University for Fall attendance (High School Students Only)
- Current GPA - Weighted and Unweighted (High School Students Only)
- Student involvement in extracurricular activities at their institution of learning
- Student involvement in community service activities
- 750-word essay (Criteria listed in application package)
- A 2-minute video stating personal and educational goals
- A letter of recommendation
- Current transcript (2023-2024 Academic Year)
